Reviews - Coming Soon

The last few years have seen a massive growth in the number of tutorials available (on DVDs mainly) in the field. Mostly aimed at beginners, with a growing number of DVDs created mainly for advanced artists, its easy to find video tutorials for almost all major cg related software, with most websites providing separate tutorials in modeling, rigging, animation, texturing and dynamics. I've always liked video tutorials as I find that, if done well, they're able to explain concepts a lot better....and its always easier to watch how someone does 'it' rather than just read about it.

However, over the years, I've seen very few reviews of these tutorial DVDs. I don't mean the ones that are available on the artists site by people within the company or fans, but ones done from an impartial perspective. I've always felt that if I was going to be spending up to $100 on a DVD, I'd wanna know if it was good or bad, what it was good at and what it didn't cover.

So, when I was building my site, and having bought and borrowed loads of tutorials to learn from, and having been disappointed by a few, and impressed by most, I decided that I wanted to have a section where I would review DVD tutorials that I had bought or watched while I was studying. I'm going to be adding these slowly so keep coming back.
